Events and meetings

One of ACTRAV’s main events is the bi-annual International Workers’ Symposium. This is a meeting gathering trade unionists and other specialists from all over the world to discuss a given topic.

In addition ACTRAV organizes other events, meetings and workshops, both at headquarters and in the field, focusing on the areas of activities of the bureau.

ACTRAV is at the service of workers representatives as they participate in different meetings at the ILO. Colleagues do also assist in preparing case files that will help worker representatives develop their positions and arguments for the Annual Conference of the ILO, the Governing Body, regional and sectoral conferences and in the Office's various activities.

  1. Trade Union Workshop on Sustainable Development, Green Jobs and Decent Work in Indonesia

    This initial training workshop is aimed at providing an overview and common understanding among key trade union representatives in Indonesia, on the concepts of ‘Sustainable Development, Inclusive Growth, Green Jobs & relevance of Decent Work mechanisms to achieving these.

    The Global Union research Network (GURN) is organizing its second workshop on climate change and green jobs in October 2011 and trade unionists and researchers are invited to present papers and discuss the challenges these issues pose for organised labour.
