Globalization requires effective global governance and policy coherence to be fair and inclusive. The ILO Declaration on Social Justice for a Fair Globalization reaffirms the fundamental values and principles of the ILO in today’s global economy. It stresses the need for a strong social dimension to globalization and gives the ILO the responsibility to examine all international economic and financial policies in the light of the fundamental objective of social justice.

Based on the universal recognition of Decent Work to meet the challenge of globalization, it calls for decent work to be placed at the heart of all economic and social policies. Through its programmes with trade union organizations, ACTRAV promotes the ILO’s agenda for Decent Work and a Fair Globalization.
