Productivity and competitiveness

Productivity and competitiveness are key issues for private enterprise development in any country, and Employer and Business Membership Organizations (EBMOs) have an important role in underpinning this in their policy work and in providing services to their members. Productive enterprise development means that enterprises can create both new and additional jobs, which in turn is one of the most concrete and important contributions to national efforts on poverty reduction.

ACT/EMP has produced a CD-ROM with the aim of assisting employers' organizations by providing them with materials on the issues of productivity and competitiveness for their work with member enterprises. The CD-ROM provides reference material to guide action by employers' organizations or other business associations, particularly in transition countries. Please contact us for a copy of this CD-ROM.
