October: The U.S economy showed a stronger pre-hurricane employment growth

1.    The unemployment rate fell to 4.1 per cent in October - the lowest level in all the year.
2.    Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 261,000 in October; jobs increased sharply in Food Services and Drinking Places (+89,000) followed by Manufacturing (+24,000), and Healthcare (+16,000).
3.    The labour force participation rate decreased by 0.4 percentage point to 62.7 per cent in October – it has shown little movement on net over the past 12 months.
