Making Globalization Socially Sustainable: A new ILO-WTO book

The Peterson Institute for International Economics will host a symposium on a joint ILO-WTO publication entitled “Making Globalization Socially Sustainable” on October 4, 2011. The book, an edited volume with contributions from experts, addresses some of the most ressing issues concerning globalization and its impact on the lives of millions of workers around the globe. The chapters in the volume analyze the various channels through which globalization affects jobs and wages and examine whether and how trade and employment policies should be accommodated to make globalization socially sustainable.
