Internships are located in the ILO Office for the United States based in Washington, D.C. The International Labour Organization (ILO) brings together representatives of governments, employers and workers from its 187 member States.
It is dedicated to establishing international labour standards and promoting decent work and decent working conditions for all women and men through respect for internationally recognized human and labor rights as the basis for building a common commitment to shared economic prosperity and social progress.
The objective of the ILO Office for the United States is to forge excellent relationships and collaboration with government representatives, and workers’ and employers’ organizations, as well as with relevant United States based international organizations in building partnerships for a sustainable and equitable future of work and more generally to promote knowledge and awareness of the ILO and its mandate.

Both international and U.S. domestic candidates are welcome to apply; international candidates need to possess a valid US student visa to apply for work authorization or have work authorization (e.g. permanent residence) in the United States. ILO Office for the U.S. is not able to sponsor U.S. visas of any type.
