ILO Working Conditions Laws Database
The Working Conditions Laws Database is the most exhaustive source on maternity protection legislation available internationally. It provides country-specific information on the key dimensions of maternity protection: length of maternity leave, cash and medical benefits as well as their qualifying conditions; health protection; non-discrimination and employment security and breastfeeding upon return to work. It also covers other types of leave provisions, such as paternity, parental and adoption leave, which are important to help both women and men reconcile work and family.Legal Indicators for Combining Work and Family Life
The Legal Indicators for Combining Work and Family Life measure the existence and scope of paternity and parental leave law. They form part of the indicators developed for Measuring Decent Work. This section provides some examples of leave provisions in national legislation, which can be used by fathers at the time of childbirth.More information is contained in the Database of Conditions of Work and Employment Laws on maternity protection.
