The document, which had been developed by the Working Group on the National Action Plan (NAP) on Business and Human Rights, was submitted to the government of Japan on 11 November 2019 as an input to the formulation of the NAP. It describes common requests of all stakeholders under five subjects which are considered particularly important for its formulation: non-financial reporting; foreign workers; human rights due diligence and supply chains; public procurement and; access to remedy.
