ILO Future of Work High-Level Dialogue Jobs4Youth: A Human-centered Agenda to Boost Investments and Productivity in Africa

(1) Abstract

Youth employment is the center of political attention of African Leaders and the people in Africa. ILO side event of the Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD7) on Jobs4Youth will encourage the sharing of expertise and experiences on the use of local resources, labour-based technologies and human capital and skills development as well as enhanced investments and productivity to support Jobs for Youth across Africa. High-level guests including Mr. Ebrahim Patel, Minister of Trade and Industry, the Republic of South Africa, Mr. Ibrahim Assane Mayaki, Chief Executive Officer of the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD), Mr. Lamin Jobe, Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment, the Republic of the Gambia and Mr. Maman Sambo Sidikou, Permanent Secretary, G5 Sahel will speak. Mr. Guy Ryder, ILO Director-General, will also participate. The event is open to all those interested.
