Project launched as part of UN75 events
The project was launched on 10th December 2020 as part of a series of events to mark UN75.
The project was launched on 10th December 2020 as part of a series of events to mark UN75. Launched physically in Nadi, Fiji at the center of COVID-19 impact on Tourism and Aviation Industry, other project countries were also able to witness the launch through joining the virtual link.
The chief guest for the launch was the UN Resident Coordinator, Mr Sanaka Samarasinha. Mr Samarasinha provided guests with a brief background of the project and its links to the recommendations of the UN Social and Economic Impact Assessments (UNSEIA). A special video highlighting the key deliverables of the project was also showcased.
Two creative companies and performers were hired to creatively launch the project. The hotel the project was launched at hired 12 additional staff that day to support the organizing and catering.
