Occupational safety and health vary amongst Pacific Island countries. Fiji is ahead in its legislation, inspectorate and implementation. It has extended its bi-lateral relations to assist Papua New Guinea and Kiribati. Samoa, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu have also progressed in the implementation of their OSH legislation whilst Tuvalu and Marshall Islands are at the beginning stages of promoting OSH legislations.
