Manual
International labour migration in the health sector - A manual for participatory assessment of policy coherence
The manual is based on existing ILO work and constitutes a step-by-step practical guide to support constituents and other stakeholders at country level in designing more effective health and labour migration policies.
The growing impact of migration on the world of work is testing current migration management systems. With the aim to enhance labour migration governance, the ILO has developed a manual on participatory assessment of policy coherence in the health sector. The manual is based on existing ILO work and constitutes a step-by-step practical guide to support constituents and other stakeholders at country level in designing more effective health and labour migration policies. It targets assessing coherence among labour migration, employment, education/training and health policies and aims at enhancing labour market outcomes for migrant health workers and health service delivery.
