Social dialogue in education in Latin America: A regional survey

This working paper examines the social dialogue framework and climate for participation, consultation and negotiation of teachers and their organizations in education reform in eight Latin American countries: Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Venezuela in South America, Honduras, El Salvador and Costa Rica in Central America. Besides analyzing the broad variety of experiences and the state of social dialogue in these countries, the paper offers some conclusions and recommendations for further work.
