The Interregional Symposium on the Informal Economy: Enabling Transition to Formalization was held with the overall objective to exchange experience on different approaches developed for enabling the transition to formalization and to assist ILO constituents to develop knowledge on emerging issues and innovative approaches for addressing the informal economy across the four pillars of the ILO Decent Work Agenda: standards and fundamental principles and rights at work, employment, social protection and social dialogue.
