Health and life at work: A basic human right

“Everyone has the right to life, to work... to just and favourable conditions of work... Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family...” (From the Universal Declaration on Human Rights, UN, 1948).

The booklet tries to shed light on the possible impacts of the financial crisis on occupational safety and health. The key message is that even in times of change; safety, health and life at work are basic human rights.
