As part of the 2017 World Day for Safety and Health at Work campaign, the ILO has compiled a list of reference materials to assist social partners and all relevant stakeholders in improving the collection and use of reliable occupational safety and health (OSH) data, in particular for the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases. These documents include guidance materials, such as codes of practice and guides; international labour standards; good practices at country level; strategy documents and reports; and databases.

This year, “Workplace Stress: a collective challenge” is the theme of the campaign of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. The report will draw attention to current global trends on work-related stress and its impact.
Joint Conclusion Adopted at the Second Implementation Follow-up Meeting of Bangladesh Sustainability Compact

The second follow-up meeting of Bangladesh Sustainability Compact took place in Dhaka on 28 January 2016. At the meeting the EU, US, Canada, Government of Bangladesh and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) reviewed progress achieved since October 2014 and discussed future prospects. The parties also welcomed Canada as a new partner to the Compact. A joint conclusion was adopted at the second meeting.

The second follow-up meeting of Bangladesh Sustainability Compact will be hosted by the Government of Bangladesh. It will aim to take stock of the progress achieved since October 2014 and look into the future prospects. It will bring together all Compact partners and offer a session for interested stakeholders.

The event will include a testimonial from a Red Cross Red Crescent Health Volunteer about their experiences in the field, a high level panel discussion and a general discussion. The event will take place from 18:00 to 19:30 and English-French interpretation will be made available.

The conference aims to focus efforts in this area and to maximize the positive impact of future international work. It offers an opportunity to stakeholders involved in the implementation, management and/or development of occupational radiation protection policies to share and discuss experiences. The conference will be organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and co-sponsored by the ILO, in cooperation with several other international organizations.
