    The course, organized as part of both the EU and SIDA funded projects, provided detailed guidance and methodology on the use of Risk Assessment as a tool to identify, evaluate and control risks in the workplace.

  2. OSH management training for micro, small and medium enterprises in Zambia

    19 - 20 May 2011

    In the framework of the project “Improving Safety and Health at Work through a Decent Work Agenda”, the International Labour Office in collaboration with the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) organized a training course within the “Broad Based Wealth and Job Creation (BBW&JC) Programme”.

  1. ILO - AIR Pneumo project: Workshop on using the ILO Classification of Radiographs of Pneumoconioses

    20 - 22 December 2010

    The training workshop aims to upgrade the skills of occupational physicians, chest doctors, radiologists, and pulmonologists for the effective use of the ILO 2000 International Classification of Radiographs of Pneumoconioses.

  1. Development of a National Occupational Safety and Health Programme for Ukraine

    18 - 19 November 2010

    Ukraine is one of the six pilot countries of the ILO/EU project “Improving safety and health at work through a decent work agenda (2010-2012). Following the inception mission carried out in March 2010 which focused on presenting the project to the main national stakeholders and recruit the national coordinator of the project, this second event aimed to: Participate in a Parliamentary Hearing on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) (November 17th 2010); Hold the first steering committee of the project (November 18th 2010); Conduct a two-day training workshop on the development of a national programme on OSH (November 18th and 19th 2010).

  2. Development of a National Occupational Safety and Health Programme for Malawi

    3 - 5 November 2010

    The workshop’s general objective was to impart the workshop participants with the necessary skills to enable them elaborate a draft version of a National OSH Programme for Malawi. The workshop was aimed at decision-makers and government officials as well as representatives of workers’ organizations and representatives of employers’ organizations involved in the national governance of OSH.

  1. ILO training on workplace risk management in Moldova

    20 - 28 February 2010

    Following ILO’s strategy on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in Moldova to create a safety culture for all workers and employers, the ILO organized several training sessions for Moldovan labour inspectors as well as for officials of workers’ and employers’ organizations on workplace risk management.
