  1. Video-conference on the World Day for Safety and Health at Work

    The innovative teleconference between Ukraine and Russia was carried out in the rank of other promotional activities devoted to the occasion in the two countries. The event made it possible to further raise awareness in the occupational safety and health (OSH) field of tripartite partners and enterprises, as well as get them acquainted with the modern trends in harmonization of national OSH legislation with the ILO and European Union (EU) OSH standards.

  1. ILO International Safety Conference 2011 in cooperation with ISSA

    The conference will focus on the application of international tools on occupational safety and health (OSH) strategic approach at national and enterprise levels. Good practice in construction and health sectors, which face high and emerging risks to occupational accidents and diseases, will be highlighted. Under the theme "Promoting a preventative safety and health culture: International instruments, national strategies and good practices", the conference will offer an excellent forum to share the experience of different stakeholders and learn how to put it in practice at each level.

  1. International Forum on Occupational Health and Safety: Policies, Profiles and Services

    The aim of the International Forum is to look into occupational safety and health policies and profiles and make an inventory, and then to continue with the introduction and further development of occupational health services, Basic Occupational Health Services in particular. In addition, time is reserved for discussing the practical tools for solutions and good practices. Our intention is to come up with recommendations for further actions for more sustainable solutions in the world of work.

  1. XVIII World Congress on Safety and Health at Work - World Summit on Safety and Health

    Over 4,000 industry leaders, policy-makers and specialists are to attend the largest international event on occupational safety and health, the World Congress on Safety and Health at Work, which opens in Seoul, Republic of Korea, on 29 June. Jointly organized every three years by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the International Social Security Association (ISSA), it aims at contributing to the development of a ‘preventative safety and health culture’ through the exchange of information, knowledge and experiences. The XVIII World Congress is hosted this year by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA), under the theme "Safety and health at work: A societal responsibility".

    From 18-20 September 2007 over 200 participants from 65 countries met to discuss global and national efforts towards making international standards for Decent Work a practical reality. The Conference was organized by the ILO in partnership with the German and Portuguese governments, ISSA, WHO, IALI and other international organizations, with sponsorship from German organizations Basi, Messe Düsseldorf, BAD, DGUV, Fraport and TÜV Rheinland.
