More than 200 companies from around 20 countries participated at the fair, which was larger than in previous years. The event was attended by nearly 23,000 visitors. Professionals dealing with hygiene and safety at work benefited from a cross-sectional and diversified offer filled with novelties. The exhibition also proved to be a fertile ground for those seeking the latest solutions and contacts with leading manufacturers and distributors. The fair was supplemented with a stimulating programme of conferences and workshops that enjoyed great interest.
The Polish Central Institute for Labour Protection – National Research Institute (CIOP-PIB), the ILO-CIS National Centre, organized two conference modules: “Partnership for prevention” and “Safe storage and transport of chemicals”. The first module examined the role of managerial staff in shaping occupational safety, the participation of employees in occupational safety management, as well as ways of shaping communication between employees and managers in the light of corporate social responsibility. The second module addressed warehouse architecture, preventive measures, risks, transport regulations, and individual protection measures related to the storage and transport of hazardous chemicals.
The event was held under the auspices of the Minister of Economy, the Minister of Labour and Social Policy, the Chief Labour Inspector, the Chief Marshall of State Fire Services, and the Chairman of the Board of the Volunteer Fire Brigade.
The programme also included the conference “20 years of the National Fire Brigade – progress in fire fighting technology” and a meeting of the National Fire Brigade’s directors. In addition, a show of cutting edge solutions in fire fighting and lifesaving was organised.
Another notable event that took place on the premises of the Poznań international fair was the meeting of the Board of Directors of the European Safety Federation – heads of associations of producers and distributors of personal protection equipment from 12 countries. Some of the products and solutions presented at the fair entered various competitions and were awarded several prizes.
