Lista Suja do Trabalho Escravo no Brasil

A Secretaria Especial de Direitos Humanos e o Ministério do Trabalho e
Emprego divulgaram, em 18 de novembro de 2003, uma lista com 52 pessoas
e empresas, condenados pela Justiça por trabalho escravo. De acordo com
o governo, eles vão perder a concessão de créditos e financiamentos em
instituições estatais, como o Banco do Brasil, a Caixa Econômica
Federal, BNDES, Banco do Nordeste, entre outros.
O Ministro Nilmário Miranda informou que a lista vai ser atualizada a
cada seis meses, com a saída de proprietários que tenham regularizado a
sua situação e a entrada de mais pessoas condenadas pela Justiça.
 

National Campaign to Eradicate Forced Labour

  Co-ordinated by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the Special Secretary of Human Rights (SEDH), in a partnership with LOWE Agency, the campaign was launched on the 22nd of October, 2003, during an event at the House of Representatives. The campaign has as objectives alert the society and mobilise opinion makers.

National Commission to Eradicate Forced Labour, linked to the Special Bureau on Human Rights of the Presidency of the Republic, was created to keep up to date the accomplishments of the actions of the National Plan, the draft laws that are in Congress, evaluate the technical co-operation projects with international organisations and propose studies and researches about forced labour in the Country.

 

National Plan for the Eradication of Forced Labor

  The present document was drafted by the Special Committee of the Council for the Defense of the Rights of the Human Person (Conselho de Defesa dos Direitos da Pessoa Humana - CDDPH), established by Resolution 05/2002 of CDDPH, which unites all entities and national authorities dealing with the issue.

GERTRAF
The purpose of the Executive Group for the Eradication of Forced Labor - GERTRAF is to coordinate programs and actions from different governmental bodies that interfere in the issue of forced labor and to draft new legislative proposals.
 
Sub-commission
  The Special Commission, created by Resolution nr. 05/2002, within the scope of the Council for the Defense of the Rights of the Human Person of the Ministry of Justice, was established in order to be informed abut and to follow-up on denunciations of violence in rural areas, of exploitation of forced and slave labor and of exploitation of child labor.
