ILO publications - ILO bookshop:
50 % discount for Conference participants

   

ILO publications can be purchased during the Conference from the ILO Publications Bookshop (open daily from 09.00 to 18.00), located on R2 South in the ILO library. A 50% discount on all publications will be offered to Conference participants. Those wishing to take advantage of this offer should show their badge when purchasing.

A selection of latest titles will be displayed on the ILO Publications Stand at the Palais des Nations (open daily from 11.30 to 14.00). ILO souvenirs are available for sale at both locations.

 Child Labour – Campaign activities

An exhibition and documentation stand has been set up in the Salles des pas perdus (3rd floor, Palais des Nations), featuring a presentation and documents on child labour. A child labour office has been established at the Palais des Nations, office A-817. Campaign materials are available upon request to help delegates to promote international labour Conventions Nos. 138 and 182 in their own countries.

 

 

 

International Labour Standards – Information and Assistance

The ILO’s International Labour Standards Department offers assistance at its information desk in the ILO building next to the Governing Body Room (R3). The stand is open from 13.30 to 15.00 each day and provides –

information on ILO Conventions and Recommendations and the reports of ILO supervisory bodies;

documentation on international labour standards, presented in electronic format (ILSE);

demonstrations of the ILO's legal information databases (ILOLEX and NATLEX);

For information on proposals for the agenda of the International Labour Conference, the integrated approach to ILO standards-related activities and other standards policy questions, delegates are invited to contact the ILO Standards Policy Branch of the International Labour Standards Department (Ms M. Employment Sector Information Stand

Conference participants are invited to visit the Employment Sector Information Stand, located in the Salle des pas perdus at the Palais des Nations. The stand will feature publications, CDROMs, and other print and electronic information resources from the Sector’s various departments such as Employment Strategy, Recovery and Reconstruction, InFocus Programme on Skills, Knowledge and Employability, Job Creation and Enterprise, Gender Promotion, Multinational Enterprise Activities, and Social Finance.

Of special highlight is the newly updated information database from IFP/SKILLS on the revision of Human Resources Development Recommendation, 1975 (No. 150), which is the fourth item of discussion in the Conference (available as a CDROM and online at www.ilo.org/skills).

 

ILO Bureau of Library and Information Services

The ILO Library, the world's leading library in the field of work and work-related development and human rights issues, welcomes Conference participants. Delegates and ILO officials from the field attending the Conference may use all of the Library's facilities (including Internet access) and may borrow books for a period of one week.

The ILO Library is located on the R-2 level (south) of the ILO building.
