Amendment to the Collective Agreement on a
Procedure for Job Grading


WHEREAS the Office and the Union signed on 19 February 2002 a Collective Agreement on a Procedure for Job Grading;

WHEREAS, in the light of experience, the Parties consider that in order to ensure a coherent and effective operation of grading procedures, certain concepts and procedural aspects provided for in the Agreement need to be clarified and adjusted;

WHEREAS article 9, paragraph 3, of the Agreement, provides that any modification or amendment thereto shall be effected by means of a written agreement signed by the Parties;

THEREFORE, the Parties have agreed to amend the Collective Agreement on a Procedure for Job Grading as follows:

Article 1

The Agreement of 19 February 2002 shall be amended to the extent required by the provisions contained in the Annex to the present Agreement (ILO Series 6 Circular, Job Grading Procedure).

Article 2

A copy of the Procedure for Job Grading, as hereby amended, shall be notified to each staff member by means of an administrative circular.

Article 3

This Amendment shall become effective upon its signature by the Parties.

SIGNED in Geneva, this 11th day of June 2003, in two copies, in the English language, by the representatives of the Parties duly authorized to that effect.
