The President thanked those present for attending the meeting.
It was noted by Mr. Recoing that the Minutes did not reflect the thanks expressed by those present at the 1999 AGM to Ms. Wyatt for all her hard work during her years as President. Other than that, the Minutes were approved by all present.
The Treasurer noted that the club was doing well financially with over CHF 3,000.00 in the account. To date, 16 members had already paid their fees and the remaining members were expected to pay soon. The Treasurer informed those present that the three major expenses for the year, namely the rental of the two gyms and the membership fee for the Championnat Relax, were already paid.
It was decided to purchase the following equipment:
It was further decided that, henceforth, the Coach will make recommendations on new equipment necessary for training and that the assembled club members will decide whether or not to purchase the said equipment.
The issue of whether or not the club should ask for a subsidy from the ILO Sports and Leisure Association was raised. No decision could be reached without further information regarding the criteria employed by the ILO Sports and Leisure Association in deciding whether or not to grant the subsidy. It was decided that the President would discuss the issue with the President of the ILO Sports and Leisure Association and would report back to the members.
It was again proposed that a few Tuesdays be put aside for special training sessions, to be organised by the Coach, for the ILO mixed team and also for the men’s and women’s teams which will participate in the UN Inter-Agency Games in April 2001. It was agreed that in such cases, Mr. Elsener would be informed well in advance in order to allow him to inform the usual Tuesday participants of the change.
It was decided that the ILO would, indeed, field both a men’s and women’s team at the IAG in Alicante.
The Webmaster informed the members that unless the site received an adequate number of hits between the present time and Christmas, he would discontinue it. The members informed the Webmaster that the site was indeed being used by them and they objected to it being discontinued. The President ordered the Webmaster to continue the site. It was suggested that the Webmaster should contact local volleyball associations to ask them to add a link on their websites to the ILO Volleyball Club website.
The Coach proposed the establishment of an "ILO Volleyball Tournament" which would be open to the public. The Coach agreed to submit a written proposal for the members’ approval.
Despite being given the chance to elect a new committee, the club members expressed their happiness with the work of the existing committee. There were therefore no changes.
Raul thanked the committee and, indeed, everyone who had anything to do with the club this year, for their hard work.
