Kazakhstan needs to ratify ILO Maternity Protection Convention, 2000 (No. 183), this will strengthen social positions of women with children and with family responsibilities, Larissa Kharkova, vice-president of the Kazakhstan Free Trade Unions Confederation told a roundtable meeting on labour equality in the sphere of labour and social welfare in Almaty on September 21.
