Russia is taking vigorous efforts in order to alleviate tensions on the labour market, President Dmitry Medvedev said.
Speaking at an APEC business summit on Saturday, he stressed the need for coordinated actions in providing social guarantees, ensuring the affordability and quality of training, and mobility of labour.
He believes that the International Labour Organisation should play an important role in this process, and Russia supports its Global Jobs Pact.
"The crisis has indeed hit all of us hard, including Russia. But anti-crisis measures and the policy that has been pursued over the past year in practice, we could stabilise the situation," he said.
