Modular training workshops in Dushanbe

Dushanbe, Tajikistan
10-15 August 2009

At the request of national tripartite partners ILO experts organized workshops on modular training methodology from August 10 to August 20.

The first workshop introduced professional competence-based modular training. Among trainees were directors, instructors and specialists of Tajikistan’s Adult Training Centre, the state agency for social protection, employment and migration, Employers’ Organization of Tajikistan and the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan.

Participants in the workshop studied how to apply the modular training system as well as to organize and control training activities in compliance with the ILO methodology. Deputy Labour and Social Protection Minister of Tajikistan, Subkhon Ashurov, also took part in assessing modular training approaches.

The second workshop was devoted to the development of modular training tools and methodical documents for vocational training. Trainees learnt how to analyze vocational activities and develop modular training tools.

In October Ukraine will host a workshop on the introduction of ILO’s modular methodology into the educational process for trainees to preserve and widen the knowledge they received.
