Joint UNDP/UNICEF/ILO project entitled Assistance to Belarus in Joining the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its Implementation was launched in April 2009.
The aim of the project is to support the fullest attainable implementation of the rights of persons with disabilities in the Republic of Belarus in accordance with the international standards.
This project will be implemented together with the Belarussian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
The project duration is 18 months.
The project team was established in May and the first sitting of the Project Steering Committee took place on June 29.
