Bishkek hosts regional conference on the role of cooperatives

Bishkek
24-25 June 2009

Central Asian Regional Conference on “The Role of Cooperatives in Poverty Reduction and Employment Growth” organized by ILO COOP in partnership with Raiffaizen Foundation took place in Bishkek on 24-25 June 2009.

The participants discussed the ILO study on the role of cooperatives. The Agricultural Trade Unions presented the WIND (Work Improvement in Neighbourhood Development) Programme that is being successfully implemented in Kyrgyzstan.
