On April 13-15 ILO Moscow Office Director Martina Lubyova visited Baku, Azerbaijan, to meet with tripartite constituents to evaluate the current Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP) and discuss development of a new one starting as of 2010.
At a tripartite roundtable meeting it was agreed that the constituents would forward to the ILO their suggestions on the future DWCP priorities and timeframe and nominate members of a tripartite working group that should review the current DWCP and develop a new one.
During her visit Martina Lubyova also held separate meetings with Labour and Social Protection Minister Fizuli Alekperov, the chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, Sattar Mekhbaliyev, the president of the National Entrepreneurs’ (Employers’) Confederation, Alekper Mammadov, and Youth and Sports Minister Azad Ragimov.
