On April 7, the city of Perm, Russia, hosted an international scientific conference on pressing problems of occupational safety and management of professional risks.
Taking part in the conference were leading researchers and experts from Perm, Moscow, St. Petersbrug, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Kirov, Omsk, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan and Udmurtia. Reports from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Moldova were heard.
The conference was devoted to the 90th anniversary of the International Labour Organization (28 April being the date of the signing of the original ILO constitution at the Versailles Peace Conference in 1919), the World Day for Safety and Health at Work ( April 28) and the 15th anniversary of the state labour inspection ( May 10, 1994).
Participants discussed retraining of labour resources, the creation of new jobs in occupational safety and health, social insurance of occupational accidents and diseases, and systems of federal, regional, municipal and corporate management of professionals risks.
