On February 18, the UN House in Bishkek hosted a conference chaired by Kyrgyz Vice-Premier Uktomkhan Abdullayeva and UNDP Kyrgyzstan Resident Representative Neal Walker. It was devoted to the World Day for Social Justice that will be annually marked on February 20 beginning from this year.
Taking part in the conference were representatives of the government, civil society and international organizations accredited in Kyrgyzstan.
This event was organized by the UNDP and ILO to establish a dialogue on topical aspects of social justice between Kyrgyzstan’s authorities and civil society.
Participants exchanged opinions on the ways and areas of joint work to promote the country’s social and economic development.
The ILO Declaration on Social Justice for a Fair Globalization was presented at the conference.
