• 23 December 2005 - Project results presented in Moscow.
  Today the ILO Office presented a manual ”Your Health” for vocational college students. The manual was developed and published with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science under the ILO/DFID/UNFIP project on Comprehensive Partnership Strategies for HIV/STI Prevention among Young People in the Russian Federation.

• 20 December 2005 - Russian version of Code of Practice on OSH in iron and steel presented in, Chelyabinsk, Russia.

  ILO Moscow and the Scientific-research Institute on OSH in metallurgy organized the first presentation of the Russian version of Code of Practice on safety and health in the iron and steel industry in Chelyabinsk, 20 December.
  Chelyabinsk is the Russian centre of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy. 1,1 million metallurgists work in ferrous and non-ferrous industry in Russia. Approx 480.000 of them work in the Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk and Kemerov oblasts on the East side of the Ural Mountains. It was therefore very fitting to organize the first presentation for specialists from the dedicated institute, trade unions and employers from major metallurgy factories, university specialists, technical inspection and the press.
  The second presentation will be organized in connection with the World Day on Safety and Health and the International Congress on OSH in metallurgy. The Congress will be held in end March 2006 with participants from several other countries.
• 19 December 2005 - International labour standards and the development of social dialogue in Russia.
  This is the topic of the seminar, organized by the ILO upon the request of the State Duma (Parliament) of the Russian Federation. The seminar started today at Marriott-Aurora Hotel in Moscow.
