Tajikistan has been officially admitted to the World Trade Organization (WTO)
11 December 2012. The Tajik president’s official website reports three documents were signed at a ceremony in Geneva on December 10: the protocol on Tajikistan's admission to the international organization; the decision of the WTO General Council on approving Tajikistan’s accession; and report of the Working Party on Tajikistan’s accession.

1 December 2012. On December 1, 2012, Russia will assume the presidency of the G20, the informal grouping of the world’s biggest economies. We see this above all as a chance to offer our partners a positive and substantive agenda aimed at resolving the common problems of concern to all countries. We will of course also make effective use of our presidency to address our long-term national goals and strengthen Russia’s place in global economic governance.

Tajikistan logs 654 new HIV cases in Jan-Sep 2012
1 December 2012. In all, 4,500 HIV cases have been officially logged in Tajikistan since 1991, when the first HIV infection was registered in the country, the Tajik new agency Asia-Plus reported on 1 December, World AIDS Day.
