  • Youth Employment in Serbia Working Together to Boost Youth Employment in Serbia -
    Serbia was hit hard by the global economic crisis, particularly its young people, who are living a "crisis within the crisis".   • Moscow: Regional conference Moscow hosts international conference on trade union rights
    On December 3-4 Moscow hosted a regional conference "Building Democracy and Trade Union Rights in the NIS (new independent states) countries".   • Safework ILO and EU to launch new project on improving safety and health at work
    Responding to a pressing need to improve the safety and health of workers, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the European Union are launching a new project aimed at reducing occupational accidents and diseases in six countries in Eastern Europe (Ukraine and Moldova), Africa (Zambia and Malawi) and Central America (Honduras and Nicaragua). - ILO News, 2 December 2010
  • Gender mainstreaming The Government of Spain shared experience of gender mainstreaming in labour inspection services with the Ukrainian tripartite delegation
    From October 13-15, 2010 a Ukrainian tripartite delegation visited the Spanish Labour and Social Security Inspection to learn about the legal framework and practice of the labour inspection service in Spain for promoting gender equality and non-discrimination at the workplace. The study visit was organized in the framework of the Gender Equality in the World of Work project which is funded by the European Union and co-funded and implemented by the ILO. - Gender Equality, Kyiv, 15 October 2010
  • Pilot Project The ILO Ankara Office in cooperation with the Turkish Employment Agency (I.S,KUR) has launched a Pilot Project on Active Labour Market Policies for Advancing Gender Equality through Decent Employment for Women in Turkey in January 2009 on enhancing women employment in Turkey. - ILO Ankara, 17 May 2010
