Working Together to Boost Youth Employment in Serbia -

Serbia was hit hard by the global economic crisis, particularly its young people, who are living a "crisis within the crisis".
The government, trade unions and employers, working together, have designed new policy interventions to give young people,
especially those with low levels of education, a chance to find a decent job and keep it. -

Moscow hosts international conference on trade union rights
On December 3-4 Moscow hosted a regional conference "Building Democracy and Trade Union Rights in the NIS
(new independent states) countries". It was organized by the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC)
and the ITUC´s Pan-European Regional Council initiated by the Confederation of Labour of Russia (KTR) and

ILO and EU to launch new project on improving safety and health at work
Responding to a pressing need to improve the safety and health of workers, the International Labour Organization (ILO)
and the European Union are launching a new project aimed at reducing occupational accidents and diseases in six
countries in Eastern Europe (Ukraine and Moldova), Africa (Zambia and Malawi) and Central America (Honduras and Nicaragua).
