Guy Ryder: "ILO and EU have a shared responsibility of realizing decent work for all"
For the 10th time in a row, and in the presence of the ILO Director-General Guy Ryder, the ILO and the European Commission held their annual high-level meeting defining the focus of their cooperation for the next year. ILO calls on Greece to bring its labour relations system back to fundamental rights
In this year's November session, the ILO Committee on Freedom of Association the supervisory body of the ILO that examines cases concerning employers' and trade unions' rights to organize, collective bargaining and social dialogue examined an extensive deficit of social dialogue in austerity measures taken in Greece and highlighted the need for ILO assistance in the country. - ILO-Brussels, 15 November 2012

First Action Plan on Youth Employment in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia
A three-year action plan to promote more and better jobs for young people aged between15-29 was adopted by the Government of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia on the 17th October, 2012. This is the country´s first action plan to tackle its youth jobs crisis. The plan has been developed with the technical assistance of the ILO Decent Work Technical Support Team in Budapest, in cooperation with the ILO International Training Center in Turin and in consultation with national trade unions and employers´ organizations. - ILO DWT/CO-Budapest, 27 October 2012

Domestic workers in Europe falling through the loopholes
Many domestic workers in Europe do not enjoy as much legal protection as other workers.
