Former Senior specialist, Employers' activities
Jean-Marie worked in the ILO SRO-Budapest from 1998 until 2006. With the team, his responsibilities lied primarily in providing advisory and technical support to employers' organizations in order to strengthen Social Dialogue in the region.
Prior to joining the ILO, between 1968 and 1977 he worked as advisor to the Federation of Enterprises of Belgium (FEB). Between 1977 and 1989 he was general manager of the Federation of the Belgian Motor and Cycle Industry (FEBIAC) and General Commissar of Brussels' International Motor Show.
Between 1989 and 1998 he was an independent consultant working on both bilateral and PHARE projects in Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Poland and Bulgaria. He holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.B.A. from the University of Ghent.
