Youcef Ghellab has been with the ILO since 1994. He joined ILO SRO-Budapest in February 2001. Within the team, Youcef Ghellab's responsibilities cover the areas of Social Dialogue and Industrial Relations, Labour Legislation and Labour Administration.
Youcef Ghellab holds a PhD in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management from Paris-Dauphine University and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA) in Paris.Before joining the ILO in 1994, he had worked for the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, where he was responsible for Wage Policy and Industrial Relations.
He has published articles and papers on wage policy and industrial relations and is co-author of a book entitled "Negotiating Flexibility: The role of the State and the Social Partners", published by the ILO in 1999.
