In January, the workers' activities specialist of the Team participated in a
workshop for central and eastern European trade union research institutes
in Brussels. It was part of a project of the European Trade Union Institute
(ETUI), partially funded through the European Union's PHARE
Democracy programme. The project aims at supporting the information
capacities of trade unions in the region.
The participating 11 institutes in nine countries are jointly preparing
studies on wages, industrial relations and social security in their countries,
while building networks among themselves and internationally. CEET has
participated in the project since its start last year.
