 Tripartite conference on Addressing the problem of Undeclared Work in the construction sector through social dialogue in Bosnia and Herzegovina
financed by the Irish funded project on “Strengthening Social Partnership in Western Balkans Countries”.

The conference is called to discuss and validate the findings of the national study carried out by a consultant and to agree on a tripartite Action Plan focusing on Employers' Organisations and Trade Unions initiatives to address the problem of undeclared work in the construction sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
ILO for more effective labour dispute settlement in the Western Balkans and Moldova
Participants at an ILO tripartite sub-regional conference exchanged experiences and prepared action plans to promote effective labour dispute settlement mechanisms in the countries of the Western Balkans and Moldova on 25-26 February 2009, in Becici, Montenegro.
This conference is the start of a three-year ILO technical assistance programme on capacity building and awareness raising on labour dispute resolution mechanisms, in order to make them more effective and efficient, and better able to meet the needs of workers and employers. more

Bulgaria: helping businesses to enter the formal economy
GENEVA (ILO Online) - In 2003, a new regulation was introduced in Bulgaria, whereby it became compulsory for employers to register all labour contracts. In addition, as many employers and enterprises are unaware about the new regulations, there is a strong need now to inform them on how to conform with the new system. The ILO's Bureau for Employers' Activities (ACT/EMP) supports the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA) - the largest Bulgarian employers' organization, to help companies moving from informality to formality. ILO on line spoke with Henrik Moller and Jean-Marie Standaert, both from ACT/EMP, who assist BIA in making this happen. |

A package for social and economic progress
The Albanian pilot of the One UN Programme will make use of the experiences of the International Labour Organization (ILO) gained in the field.
