The ILO Ankara Information Resource Centre was inaugurated in September
of 2001 with the aim of providing the following services:
To make available to the general public for library-loan, ILO books,
research and official documents as well as the publications on social
and labour issues of national and international tripartite organizations.
To provide online access to Internet research resources, and the
specialized databases based in ILO Headquarters Geneva.
To distribute to the ILO constituents and public at large non-priced
materials such as posters, brochures and limited number of publications.
To provide consulting services on research topics to walk-in readers
or requests by e-mail, phone or fax.
To provide the means for the purchase of ILO publications to all
constituents throughout Turkey.
To provide information about the training activities of the ILO
International Training Centre in Torino, Italy and coordinate
the activities of constituents who participate in training.

The Centre is open to the public during
the following hours:
Monday through Thursday
14:00 - 17:00
Friday
09:30 - 12:30

Books/Documents Section |
In addition to the books published
by Geneva headquarters and ILO area offices, the Information
Resource Centre houses the official documents of the ILO
including those of the International Labour Conference,
Governing Body and the Official Bulleting. These materials
are available to all readers for check-out on a two-week
loan basis. |
Periodicals Section |
In the Centre's periodicals section, readers can find the journals
published by the ILO, Turkish worker and employer groups
and other national/international labour organizations. |
Reading Room and Internet Access |
The reading room of the Centre is provided for public use and
allows users to conduct research over the Internet and access ILO
databases such as Labordoc and Natlex.
In addition, the many ILO CD-ROM re
and Encyclopaedia
of Occupational

and Safety) can be used at the centre. |
