The inception conference for the project on the “Impact Analysis of the Crisis Response and Lessons Learned for the Way Forward” took place in Ankara On 7 July 2010 with the participation of representatives from public institutions, trade unions, employer organizations and several academics. After the introduction of the project, a panel was held, where Prof. Dr. Erinç Yeldan, Prof. Dr. Erol Taymaz and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Ercan presented their preliminary analyses on the impact of the crisis and crisis response measures on employment, wages and the self-employed, and shared their perspectives on the reasons of jobless growth in Turkey. A comprehensive discussion followed these presentations in order to collate feedback and recommendations from the participants.
