Call for internship
|
Description
ILO
Office for Turkey will hire a paid
intern to work 6 months to assist in the implementation of activities
regarding the national consultations process in the scope of the
Post-2015 UN Development Framework Consultations and to day-to-day
communication needs of the office. The internship will start on 12
November 2012. The intern will work in the premises of ILO Office for
Turkey based in Ankara, and will be responsible for the following
duties:
- Following
up and responding to requests from the UNRC Office regarding the
consultations process.
- Preparing
and updating ILO contributions to the website of the Post-2015 UN
Development Framework Consultations in Turkey
- Assisting
in the organization of the consultation meeting under the growth and
employment theme led by the ILO Office for Turkey.
- Taking responsibility of updating the ILO Office for
Turkey web site.
- Preparing and archiving news about the ILO, uploading
the news items on the web, contacting programme officers in gathering
information and photographs regarding the news items.
- Supporting the translation of press releases, news
items and other information materials.
- Following up the printing work of the ILO information
materials/posters etc.
- Assisting in the organisation of conferences, project
meetings etc.
- Other tasks which may requested by the Director of
the
ILO Office for Turkey
Requirements
- The
applicant intern must be in the final
year of a
Master’s degree program or higher OR have
finished post-graduate studies less than 1 year before application.
- The applicant must have
completed courses in Communication, Economics,
Social Sciences or related fields of study. Knowledge and experience in
ILO’s fields of work will be an asset.
- Full proficiency in
Turkish and English.
- Excellent command of
office and software, such as
word processors, spreadsheets, presentation tools etc.
