Call for internship
|
Description
ILO Office for Turkey will hire a paid intern to work for 6 months to assist in the implementation of activities within the scope of “Decent Work in the Green Economy” project. The internship will start on 17 June 2013. The intern will work in the premises of ILO Office for Turkey based in Ankara, and will be responsible for the following duties:
- Drafting the minutes of meetings, activity reports as required during the implementation of the project.
- Conducting research on relevant issues to support the implementation of the project.
- Drafting letters and invitations as required due to project activities.
- Assisting in the organisation of conferences, project meetings etc.
- Supporting the translation of press releases, news items and other information materials.
- Following up the printing work of the ILO information materials/posters etc.
- Filing the invoices, the minutes of meetings, and any other relevant documentation
- Organizing meeting schedules.
- Assisting in drafting progress reports and any other reporting required by the project.
- Assisting in preparation and revision of project work plans.
- Taking responsibility of updating the relevant pages of the ILO-Ankara website.
- Other tasks which may be requested by the Director of the ILO Office for Turkey.
Requirements
- The applicant intern must be in the final year of a Master’s degree program or higher OR has finished post-graduate studies less than 1 year before application.
- The applicant must have completed courses in Economics, Social Sciences or related fields of study. Knowledge and experience in ILO’s fields of work will be an asset.
- Full proficiency in Turkish and English.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office and software, such as word processors, spreadsheets, presentation tools etc.
