Panel Discussion entitled “Towards 2015 Targets – Eliminating Worst Forms of Child Labour in Turkey” was held in December 2010 in Ankara
ILO Ankara Office organized a “Panel Discussion” on 20 December 2010 to discuss the progress made in the “Time Bound National Policy and Programme Framework (TBPPF) for the Elimination of Worst Forms of Child Labour (WFCL)” that was prepared by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security in 2005 and to discuss the roadmap to reach the goals by 2015.

Panel discussion was comprised of three sessions. The first session on “The Roles and Responsibilities of Social Partners in Combating WFCL and Their Response” was devoted to social partners so as to discuss their work on the problem of Child Labour. Second session on “Capacity Building Activities, Existing Statistics, Legislation, Education, Health, Social Services, Protection and Rehabilitation Measures in Combating Child Labour” focused on the way forward towards 2015 targets and strategies. Detailed presentations were made on satisfactory interventions in the field for the elimination of worst forms of child labour in the third session entitled “Good Practices at Local Level, Sustainability and Broadening of Interventions.”
