The study entitled Antalya Province Labour Market Analysis, which was presented in Ankara on 25 January 2011 as the ‘Analysis of Antalya Labour Market from the Perspective of Gender Mainstreaming’ during the Interim Evaluation Conference of the United Nations Joint Programme “Growth with Decent Work for All: National Youth Employment Program and Pilot Implementation in Antalya” (UNJP-YEM), has been completed by Prof. Dr. Gülay Toksöz from the Faculty of Political Sciences of Ankara University. Within the scope of this study, major features of Antalya’s economy were examined in terms of demography, gross domestic product, sectors (agriculture, tourism, industry and construction), export and investments. Moreover, major characteristics of Antalya’s labour market were evaluated in the study by analyzing the results of Antalya Labour Market Survey conducted by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) between October 2010-January 2011 within the scope of UNJP-YEM, Turkish Employment Organization’s (İŞKUR) 2009 Antalya Labour Market Research and TURKSTAT’s Household Labour Force Survey micro data for NUTS2-TR61 region.
