Social Justice, The ILO's Purpose
Born from the chaos of global war, tempered by three quarters of a century of turbulent change, the International Labour Organization is built on the constitutional principle that universal and lasting peace can be established only if it is based upon social justice.
Respect for human rights … decent living standards … human working conditions … employment opportunity … economic security – these are core elements of social justice which the ILO strives to guarantee for working people everywhere.
