Users' Guide to the Library of ILO Office in Japan

Open Days: Tuesday to Friday (except holidays)
* Although the library is closed on Mondays, visitors can read books in our office upon reservation (except holidays).
Opening Hours: 9:30-13:00 & 14:00-17:00
* Visitors are requested to arrive before 12:00 for morning visit
Lending: Not available, viewing and photocopy only.
Photocopy:

Available by self-service at the UNU Library counter (2nd floor) and ILO Office (8th floor). 
Price of photocopy is as follows:

Black & white A4-B4 10 yen
A3 20 yen
Colour A4-B4 50 yen
A3 80 yen

* Copying more than 50 pages at one time is not allowed under the copyright law.

Procedure:

  1. Please register at 1F reception desk and receive the VISITOR'S CARD. Then please come up to the ILO Office (8F).

  2. At the office, please inform the staff that you would like to use the library. The staff will ask you to sign a visitor's book and to check in large bags and coats in the locker (make sure to carry valuables with you).

  3. Users are requested to view books in the ILO library area, but may bring books to the 2nd floor or 8th floor to take photocopies. Please return the used books in the 3rd floor ILO library area.

  4. The ILO office is closed between 12:00 and 13:00 for lunch. Although there will be at least one staff present in the Office, it may not be possible to extend guidance to the user during lunch hours.

  5. The UNU library will be closed between 13:00 and 14:00. Users are kindly requested to leave the library before 13:00.

  6. ILO office can be reached by internal phone from the library, by extension #3002.

  7. Please make sure to return the VISITOR'S CARD when leaving the UNU building.
