The fact that this year's World Cup was co-hosted by the Republic of Korea and Japan helped to raise awareness on the issue of child labour in Japan.

This year, the International Labour Organization (ILO) designated 12 June as the "World Day Against Child Labour". On this occasion, the ILO Tokyo Branch Office held a child labour photo panels exhibition as described below. (Admission free)
