Decent Work Programmes ILO Office for Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Kiribati, Vanuatu and the Pacific

ILO-Suva in collaboration with ILO Sub-Regional Office Manila, is now engaged in the preparation of Decent Work country programmes for five member states:

Fiji;
Papua New Guinea;
Solomon Islands;
Kiribati; and
Vanuatu.

The preparation of programmes involves different ministries, employers', workers' organizations and other productive forces.

The country programmes will identify Decent Work deficits and different means to minimize these deficits. The current country programme such as: Framework for Action (Fiji); Structural Adjustment and Minimum Social Cost (PNG); Promoting Change (Solomon Islands); and Partnership for Development (Kiribati), were converted into Decent Work country programmes.
