ILO Action in South Asia

The child labour situation in south Asia presents both a challenge and an opportunity to address aspects of the problem on a common or shared basis. That is why in recent years, the ILO's International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC) has started to develop some projects at the subregional level.

Until now, IPEC has focused its action at the subregional level on the main areas of child trafficking, child domestic labour and child bonded labour.
